Restoration Setback on the 1700 and 1800 Block in Upper Black Eddy

Crews working to finalize the repairs needed to activate the electricity on the 1700-1800 block of River Road have been forced to stop work because they need additional equipment to complete the job.

We have personally spoken with the senior project manager from Met Ed just a few minutes ago and he tells us that until they can get the resources they need at the location, the crew won’t be able to finish that section.

We do not know exactly what issue they face in terms of equipment needed, however give that the crews have been trying to solve the problem they are facing using the resources they have on-site since yesterday, we can only assume that they have no other options but to wait for the equipment they need.  We do not have an ETA on a solution.

For clarity, here is the area they are working in:

For those of you unfamiliar with the area, this is a line that passes through the Philips Cement Plant, and there is a cross-connect line that goes straight up the 200′ section of Bridgeton Hill.  It is very rugged terrain.
