ALERT: New Flood Projections 29.5′ Monday

New projections have been published for a 29.5′ crest on Monday afternoon, which would be a flood on par with the 2004 Flood Event.

Expect water in the road for all of River Road from the Canal Bridge at Trails’ End to well beyond Frenchtown.

Expect extensive time periods of road closures due to flooding.

Many roads are already impassable. If you do not need to travel do not do so.

Please note: The 2011 predicted 29.5′ crest is nearly 1.5 feet lower than the flood of 2004 that had a gauge height at Riegelsville of 30.95 – thus a significant difference to those of us who live by inches. While predictions can change at any time, and caution is the word, let us keep to the actual predictions
